Our Most Recent Winery Visit
As we were leaving Mt. Rushmore, we spotted a quaint little winery that offered tastings and naked wines. Needless to say, that was too enticing to pass up. Our “server” Jess was very knowledgeable and funny. We left there with a bottle each of Pino Gris, Chardonnay, and Riesling.
When we were in Michigan in August, and on our way back to Colorado, we made a stop at the St. Julian Winery in Paw Paw. There is a beautiful tasting room and the pourers are knowledgeable about the wines. If you are a St. Julian wine club member, the tasting is free. If you are not a member, there is a $5 charge to sample 6 wines and you get to keep the glass when you’re done.
We brought back Reisling for our daughter and some Pino Gris and Chardonnay for us. They also have some really nice dessert wines and sherry.
If you are in Michigan, visit the tasting room. If you would like more information, visit their website at www.StJulian.com. There is lots of good information on the website.
